The Mill River Collaborative is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to creating and sustaining a
world-class park and greenway along the banks of the Mill River in the heart of Stamford Downtown. The Collaborative is leading the development of the park which has resulted in the restoration of a freely flowing Mill River for the first time in 360 years. Designs for the main area of the park between Main and Broad Streets are complete and construction will commence following the Big Apple Circus engagement in June 2011. This construction will include a great lawn, a new cherry tree promenade, a downtown woodland, granite promenades, stairs, walls and overlooks, river paths for walking, running and biking and sites for a fountain, skating rink, carousel and event pavilion. Construction completion is expected at the end of 2012.
